Group - define molecule groups

Define groups with the currently selected molecules. The argument gives the number of members of each group. The default value is all selected molecules. If a smaller number is given, multiple groups with the desired number of molecules each are defined. E. g. the value 2 will make a group with the first and second selected molecule, another one with the third and fourth, etc.

Defining groups changes the behaviour of a number of commands, mostly the ones for calculation. They will treat the molecules in a group as if they were only one molecule. This is commonly used when dealing with complexes, so that e. g. CalcSurface will calculate the surface of the whole complex, and not of each molecule individually.

The help page of every command that deals with groups has the remark "this command supports groups" at the bottom.
